SDG 5: Gender equality
Why Hikko commits
Gender equality is one of the foundations for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world: from poverty reduction to promoting the health, education, protection, and well-being of children.
This should be different
The gender gap among employees in the technology industry has an approximate ratio of 70% men and 30% women.
Goals and measurement
Goals
- Promote greater inclusion in the tech industry: safer, more diverse, and with equal opportunities, by including the greatest number of women in our teams and modeling behavior within our company.
Measurement
- Women's empowerment principles
Our commitment: initiatives
In the company
- Action protocol in cases of discrimination and harassment to guarantee safe and violence-free spaces.
- Volunteering activities that are linked to resilience and contribution to equality.
- Workshops on issues such as gender perspective, diversity, and inclusion.
In the community
- “Closing the digital breach”: a program we created that will train 200 beneficiaries of Ceprodih, an NGO that generates job placement alternatives for women with children in situations of high social risk (unemployment, domestic violence, and helplessness during pregnancy).
